Cranny also under old American Mile Record

At the Diamond League meet July 21st in Monoco where the Women’s World Mile Record was set (4:07.64 by Faith Kipyegon of Kenya), Elise Cranny (Niwot HS) in 8th place ran 4:16.47 which was also under the previous American Mile record by Mary Slaney in 1985 in Zurich, Switzerland in 4:16.71.  However, Nikki Hiltz in 6th place will obtain the American Mile record in 4:16.47.  Nothing has been said about Cranny much, just thought I would say something of this great feat.  Cranny enroute ran 3:58.88 in the 1500 meters also.
