60-400 Sprints 2022

In this young start to the 2022 track season, Colorado Track Stats has decided to feature the sprints.  That does not mean CTS will be overlooking all the other track and field events.  However, CTS is putting out there the challenge to athletes with coaches to either make the lists or make improvements to already established marks.

About ten years ago CTS decided to increase what was already a top-10 list in the four lists, to a top-25.  In all events there was somewhat a surprise.  After a very short time in some events the top-25 was made in just a few years and beyond 25.  In others the list is barely over the original top-10.  Go figure.  Some years an event is just loaded with talent, thus the list grows fast.

In just the few meets that have taken place so far this year, there has been some improvements and additions.  Take a look and see.

For you the track buff, there are six athletes in the sprints that have made all four lists, three females and three males.  Can you guess who they are??  Remember they would have had to go to a Colorado High School, a Colorado Univ/College, and would have made the After High School and Soil lists.  I will list the six in the next blog.  Send a response if you figure it out before the next blog.  GOOD LUCK.
