Two More #1’s in Colorado Track Stats
Well two more Colorado Track Stats #1 marks have been broken!! Anna Hall (Valor Christian) who has been on a t&f terror just set the Colorado After High School 400-meter hurdles record in her first attempt. Running for the University of Florida at the Florida Relays in Gainsville, FL., 4-1-22, went 55.35 for 1st place to take down a 32-year-old record by former George Washington grad Victoria Fulcher. Fulcher set the former record in Barcelona Spain 7/16/1990 running for Nike. She was 4th in a fast international race. Fulcher also lost her Colorado After High School 400-meter record (52.55) the year before by Lauren Gale (Discovery Canyon), running at the Doug Max Invite in Fort Collins running a 52.24 (4-3-21) representing Colorado State University. Gale has lower that run to 51.53. Fulcher former record came by winning the Big-10 Title running for Illinois University 5/22/88 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. That 400-meter record took just short of 33 years to be overtaken by Gale.
The second #1 record comes in the Colorado Collegiate Womens Heptathlon. Lexie Keller representing Colorado State University at the Jim Click Invite in Tucson, Az 4/8/22, and taking 1st place scored 5803 points to eclipse Heather Sterlin‘s 5688 points recorded at the USA Track Championships in Indianapolis 6/12/97. Sterlin was 6th at the Championships representing the University of Colorado. Another #1 record bites the dust. Anna Hall and Lexie Keller will probably match up later this year at the NCAA Championships in the Heptathlon. Hall ranks #1 and Keller #3 in the NCAA rankings at this point of the season.
GOD Bless
