Colorado Colleges at Division II XC

WOW!!  Colorado Division II XC Teams tore it up in Seattle Washington, December 2nd at the Nationals.  The Colorado Mines Men took the TEAM TITLE with Colorado Christian 3rd, Western Colorado 11th and UC Colorado Springs 13th out of 34 teams.  Dillion Powell (Air Academy HS) of Mines was the INDVIDUAL CHAMPION in 29:29.0 for the 10k distance.  Duncan Fuehne of Mines was 3rd (29:48.3), Afewerki Zeru (Rampart HS) of UC Colorado Springs 5th (29:54.2), Cole Nash (Chatfield HS) of Alaska Anchorage 6th (29:57.1), Loic Scomparin of Mines 10th (30:06.5), Josh Pierantoni of Colorado Christian 11th (30:08.6), Simon Kelati (Greeley Central HS) of Western Colorado 12th (30:08.8), Luke Julian of Mines 13th (30:11.5), Matthew Storer (Air Academy HS) of Colorado Christian 17th (30:14.2).  These athletes are with Colorado ties that finished in the top-20 for the men.

For the Women, Adams State University took the TEAM TITLE with Colorado Mines 3rd, UC Colorado Springs 4th, CSU Pueblo 6th, Western Colorado 8th and Colorado Christian 10th.  Stephanie Cotter of Adams was the INDIDUAL CHAMPION in 19:45.2 for the 6k distance.  Brianna Robles of Adams was 4th (20:44.9), Layla Almasri (Pine Creek HS) of UC Colorado Springs 10th (20:54.9), Molly Maskin (Centaurus HS) of Mines 12th (20:54.9), Precious Robinson of Adams 15th (21:00.2), Allison Beasley (Peak to Peak HS) of Western 19th (21:07.3), Kate Hedlund of UC Colorado Springs 20th (21:08.2).  These athletes are with Colorado ties that finished in top-20 for the women.
