CTS Track Season is Back!!

What a busy Track Weekend!!  CTS had many new marks and improvements on CTS athletes that are already in the lists.  There were also some near misses.  There was only one high school mark at the Colorado Mines HS Series #1 meet in Golden on Thursday.  Symone Adams of Cherokee Trail zipped to a CTS High School #25 mark in the 60-meter dash with a 7.63.

At the Air Force Holiday Open on Friday, Jo Anna Pinncock from Colorado State U. tripled into 17th on the CTS College list, with her 40-4 3/4 mark.  Brian Mosley formally of Doherty HS now running for CU Colorado Springs, dashed to a fast 6.71 60 meters.  His 6.71 moved him into a tie for 10th in the College list and the After-HS CTS lists.  Also, in the 60-meter dash Javin Bostic of the Air Force Academy now enters into the CTS College list at a tie for 15th with a 6.73.  Caiden Macktinger of the Air Force Academy moved into a tie at 17th in the pole vault with a 17-6 1/2 on the College CTS list.

At the Bob Timmons Challenge in Lawrence, KS., Rylee Anderson formally from Silver Creek HS, now high jumping for Kansas U., soared 6-2 to move into #3 on the After-HS CTS list.  She was in a tie at 4th on the CTS list.

At the Sharon Colyear-Danville meet in Boston, MA there were many big marks!!  The ones that made the CTS lists were as followed.  Former Cherry Creek track star running for North Carolina U., Parker Wolfe, moved from #24 on the After-HS CTS 5000-meter list all the way to 4th in the fast #1 heat, 13:19.73 and was only 13th!!  In the same race CU Grad and CTS College lister, Eduardo Herrera, was even faster with a 13:11.75 for 2nd!!  This was truly a 5000-meter extravaganza meet and the women got into the action as well.  Alish Praught a CTS Soil miler, got into the action with a fast 15:19.21 for 6th in the fast heat 1.  In heat 2, Ella Baran a CU Buff came from way behind to win the second heat in 15:33.72 and is now #12 on the CTS College list.  Also, in the same heat Samrawit Dishon formally from Niwot HS now running for New Mexico U., improved her #25 CTS After-HS time to 15:54.27.  That was good for 15th in the heat.  Newcomer to the CTS College list was Halle Hamilton from the Air Force Academy in heat 3.  Her time of 15:51.39 comes in at #21.  That time was good enough for 3rd in the heat.  Check out the meet website to see all the times that were near misses.  The meet known more for distance running, however, did have a fast 60-meter hurdle race with a Northern Colorado U. track star, Jerome Campbell.  He won his heat with a fast 7.82, which comes in at #6 on the College CTS list.  He also won the final in 7.89.

In Sacramento CA. on December 4th in the California International Marathon, there were three finishers from the CTS Lists.  Kaylee Bogina formally from Adams State U. came in at 2:35:00 for 24th place.  Ann Kirkpatrick the Colorado 40–49-mile Soil record holder registered 2:40:34 for 48th.  Bashash Walio formally from Ft. Morgan HS came in 53rd among the men with a 2:26:50.
