USA Junior Nationals (Colorado Ties)
The USA Junior Nationals are in Eugene, OR June 23-26. Here is a list of qualifiers with Colorado Track Stats ties.
This is a list with very few entries. I have a comment on the small entry list, which is common every year. I may be looked at in a negative way, but here goes. As a track and field athlete starts in the sport at an early age the goal of everyone (I assume) is to get to the big show in age group nationals, junior nationals, senior nationals, world and olympic games. So, as for junior nationals there are many athletes that have qualifying marks that have not even tried to get into the meet, which would lead to a possible junior world games entry. I blame coaches of the athletes. Many parents do not even know that their child is not given a chance. After the HS state meet there are many summer meets, however, would not the junior nationals be the main goal? College coaches are guilty of this also. Well, I guess you get the picture. Make a comment, I would like too here from you all.
GOD Bless

Tim,
The US U20 National Championship is a great opportunity for those that qualify. The meet gives athletes the chance to to represent the United States in International Competitions throughout the world. The meet also offers athletes the same All-American Status as Nike and some of the other after season meets, so why not take a chance on making the team?
