CTS Athletes at the Millrose Games

The Millrose Games in New York, NY on Sunday February 1st was attended by many CTS listers.  The Following are who attended and their performances and placements.

There were two Colorado high school athletes, sophomore Abdinasir Hassan, Rangeview HS who captured 3rd in 4:10.19 missing the CTS HS top 25 by .09.  Hassan, CTS is sure he will make the mile list probably this year.  Junior Quinn Sullivan, Niwot HS was leading at the 1500 mark but faded to 4th in 4:10.25.  Sullivan has a PR of 4:07.82 from 2025 and is ranked 14th in the HS CTS list.

One of the big moments of the meet was in the men’s 2-mile.  Parker Wolfe, Cherry Creek HS/Nike TC took the lead in the final lap and held the lead till the last straight away when Cole Hocker and Josh Kerr the World Record Holder in the 2-mile past him.  Wolfe end up as the 6th fastest ever American in the event with an 8:07.83!  In 4th was Ky Robinson who holds the fastest 10000 meter run on Colorado Soil (29:15.03) ran an 8:08.40 which is a national record for Australia.  In 8th place was Andrew Hunter who recently won the Colorado Invite Mile in Boulder (3:57.92), set a PR with a time of 8:10.91.

The Mile races produced some very fast times for CTS athletes.  Nico Young, 4th in 3:48.72 PB, Ollie Hoare, 9th in 3:53.69.  Klaudia Kazimierska, 3rd in 4:21.36 a Poland national record, Wilma Nielsen, 8th in 4:23.56 a Swedish national record.

In the 60-meter hurdle events two CTS athletes took 1st in both men and women’s.  Cordell Tinch in 7.52, and Danielle Williams in 7.90.  Denisha Cartwright was 7th in 8.17.

In the women’s 600-meter race 2 CTS went 1-2.  Roisin Willis 1st (1:24.87 PB), Juliette Whittaker 2nd (1:24.64).

In the women’s 1000-meter race, Maggi Congdon, Steamboat HS/Nike TC was 3rd in 2:35.91, and Sage Hurta, On Athletics Club 4th in 2:36.76.

In the women’s 60-meter dash another CTS athlete Kemba Nelson placed 4th in 7.28SB.
