CTS Athletes at Prefontaine

At the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League Meet in Eugene Oregon July 3-4, produced many CTS high-quality performances.  The following are those quality marks.

On the first day of the meet former Colorado High School athletes scored two victories. First, American Record Holder Valarie Allman, Silver Creek HS/USA edged CTS athlete and World and Olmpian Jorinde VanKlinken of the Netherlands 225-2 to 223-9 in the discus throw. VanKlinken came back and placed 6th in the shot put (62-6 1/2), on the second day, she is #10 on the Colorado Soil list in the SP from 2021 (58-3 1/4).  The second victory was in the 2-mile by Parker Wolfe, Cherry Creek HS/USA in 8:10.13. Wolfe out sprinted the field down the home stretch.  Other CTS athletes in the 2-mile that appear either on the Soil list or Colligate list were, Ky Robinson, Australia, 7th 8:12.16, Eduardo Herrera, Mexico and former CU Buff, 12th 8:13.72 PR, Sam Gilman, USA and former Air Force U., 19th 8:32.72.  Other CTS athletes on the first day were, Rowan Hamilton, Canada, hammer 6th 248-1, Brynn King, USA, pole vault 8th 15-1, Amanda Moll, USA, pole vault 6th 15-1, Hana Moll, USA, pole vault 4th tie 15-5, Katie Nageotte/Moon, USA, pole vault 2nd 15-9, Wilma Nielsen, Sweden, 1500 meters 1st 4:05.60 SB, Juliette Whittaker, USA, 1500 meters 2nd 4:05.78 PB, Madison Mooney, Horizon HS/Ireland, 1500 meters pacer, Luke Houser, USA, mile 14th 3:59.49, Elliot Cook, USA, 12th 3:56.16, Oliver Hoare, Australia mile 11th 3:55.35.

On The Second day, Jadia Ross, USA, shot put 8th 61-5 3/4, Cordell Tinch, USA, 110-meter hurdles 4th 13.07 +1.8w, Allyssa Jones, USA, long jump 4th 22-11 1/4 +1.6w, Gracie Hyde, USA and former Adams State U., steeple 14th 9:25.19, Emma Coburn, Crested Butte HS/USA and former CU Buff, steeple 9th 9:15.97, Danielle Williams, Jamaica, 100 meter hurdles 5th 12.51 +0.8w SB, Emily Mackay, USA, mile 6th 4:18.18 PB, Klaudia Kazimierska, Poland, mile 4th 4:17.90 NR.
