Big Marks in the CTS Top 25
There was some BIG MARKS in the CTS top 25 for the weekend of January 17-18, and I will list the marks that made the top 10.
I have not been able to work on the CTS blogs as of late, because I got pneumonia in late December. I ‘am getting better thou. Hopefully I will back into the groove soon.
The following are those top 10 marks,
In the Women After the Colorado HS list, Teagan Zwaanstra, Thunder Ridge HS now at Stanford U. ran 7.37 in the 60 meters for the #10 mark, Lilly Nichols, Broomfield HS now at Appalachian State vaulted 13-11 3/4 for the #5 tie in the Pole Vault mark (14-0 PR in high school #1 mark), Josie Coffey, Bear Creek HS now at Arizona State U. jumped 6-0 in the High Jump for the #7 tie mark ( when at Mesa U. Josie had a mark of 5-11 1/4 which is a #12 tie mark for Colorado College/University before transferring to ASU), Agur Dwol, Mullen HS now at Oklahoma U. jumped 44-2 3/4 in the Triple Jump for the #2 mark (she has the #1 CTS Colorado HS mark at 42-11 1/2 in 2022).
In the Men After the Colorado HS list, Everett Delate, Cherry Creek HS now at Colorado Mines U. hurdled 7.78 in the 60-meter Hurdles for the #7 tie mark, Karamoko Sako, Northfield HS now at Arkansas U. hurdled 7.80 in the 60-meter Hurdles for the #9 mark.
In the Men Colorado College/Univ. list, Cole Nordman, Colorado State U. hurdled 7.71 in the 60-meter Hurdles for the #2 mark, again Everett Delate with his 7.78 moves to #8 on this list, Derek Hackett, Air Force Academy U. hurdled 7.83 in the 60-meter Hurdles for the #10 tie mark.
In the Women Soil list, Bailey Hertenstein, former CU Buff now running for Nike ran 4:36.83 in the Mile for #6 on the list.
In the Men Soil list. Now for the Big one, Reece Sharman Newell, Colorado State Pueblo U. ran 3:59.37 for the first fully automatic timed Mile on Colorado Soil at the Colorado Classic in Boulder Colorado!!! Reece was closely followed by two CTS listers, Yasin Sado formerly of Denver West/Gateway HS and running Unattached at the this meet came in second with 3:59.56. Yasin is the #1 Steeple runner in the After Colorado HS list (8:17.39) and has a 3:55.93 PR in the Mile, which is #4 on the CTS AF HS list. Coming in third in this fast race was Isaiah Givens a CU Buff in 3:59.97. Givens like Sado has a 3:55.93-mile PR, which is the #2 CTS Colorado College/Univ. time. Cole Nordman, made his third CTS list from one race with his 7.71 in the 60-meter hurdles, coming in #6 on the Soil list.
